I get emails from folks about getting hired by work at home companies. Some people say the have applied for several jobs, but haven’t been hired yet. This could be due to several reasons. Think about it like if you went out to apply for a traditional drive to work job. First, are you qualified for the position? Would you apply for a position as an executive secretary if you never worked in that position or only typed 20 words per minute? That would probably be a waste of time right? How about your resume? Are you listing all of your expertise and skills?

When you apply for a job working at home, you really have to stand out. Apply for the jobs that you have experience in or a good bit of knowledge about. These are employers just like any other job. The difference is, they want to make sure you are qualified and will have the discipline to work unsupervised. You don’t have co-workers and supervisors in your workspace looking over your shoulder.
